Background Survey에는 없지만 돌발주제로 시험에 자주 등장

• 완벽하게 스크립트를 외운다기보다는 패턴과 포인트를 잡아서 최대한 자연스럽게 하는 것이 공략

 

1. 약속

주로 하는 약속의 종류

I make many appointments with a variety of people. During the week, I often have business meetings with clients. We usually discuss matters related to their accounts.

I also make social appointments with my friends from college. We usually meet on Friday nights or on weekends. This is because we are all busy working  during the week. Every six months I have a dentist appointment. I get my teeth cleaned and checked for cavities.

 

친구들과 만나기 좋아하는 약속 장소

I usually meet my friends at a cafe near my home. We like to talk together without being interrupted by other people. So we prefer somewhere quite. The cafe we usually go to is very relaxing and has a comfortable atmosphere. It is never crowded or noisy, so it is our favorite place to meet.

 

친구들과의 기억에 남는 약속

One Saturday night I met my friends at a bar. We all needed to relieve stress from a busy week.
Over the course of the night, we visited four more bars. We stayed out until six in the morning. Even though we were out all night, we never got bored. We enjoyed the freedom of going wherever we wanted. It was a very exciting day.

 

 

2. 가구·가전

가장 좋아하는 가구

My favorite piece of furniture is a big couch in my living room. It's really large and has extremely soft cushions.

My family bought it when we moved into our apartment last year. My couch is a perfect place to relax while watching TV or reading a book.
It is so comfortable that sometimes I even take a nap on it when I'm feeling tired.

 

최근에 산 가구

Recently I bought a new desk for my bedroom. I got it at a department store in Seoul. I chose a very large desk, so that I would have enough space for my computer and my books. It has two drawers. I keep all of my stationary in the drawers. I work at this deck almost every night. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

 

전자제품과 관련된 문제를 겪은 경험

I recently had a problem with my smartphone. I accidentally dropped it when I was getting off the bus. I picked up my phone right away, but there was a big crack in the screen and it would not turn on. The next day I took it to a service center. Fortunally, a technician was able to repair the demage.

 

3. 재활용

한국의 재활용

In my country, people get fined when they don't recycle. So, everyone does it. To recycle, people have to put items made of paper, metal, glass and plastic in different bis. Then, the government sends out trucks once a week to collect them.

To be honest, I think that recycling is tiresome, but it's necessary in order to protect the environment.

 

집에서 하는 재활용 과정

In my home, my family keeps several bins for different recyclable items. For example, we put all metal cans in a small bin next to the fridge. Newspapers and cardboard are placed in a box at the corner of the kitchen. On Thursday mornings, I take them to the pickup area. When there are many bags, my dad helps me carry them.

 

재활용을 하던 중 기억에 남는 경험

About a month ago, I hurt myself while recycling. I needed to take out dozens of empty glass bottles. I wanted to take them out all at once, so I put them in a single bag. However, the bag burst open suddenly. The bottles fell out of the bag and broke on the ground. Broken  glass pieces flew everywhere, and I got a cut on my ankle. So, I had to go back inside and take care of it.
